Open Access Law Europe -- OAL Europe -- is a new European-wide initiative of legal scholars and practitioners working to open the sources of law and legal commentary to wider public and scholarly access. This project, which starts in earnest in January 2007, will have two iniatives:
- The Access to Law Initiative; and,
- The Access to Scholarship Initiative
The iniatives are considered separately as each raises separate policy, economic, and social concerns, though they are also related in many ways. Directors of each of the iniatitives will be announced in early 2007.
